The beginning of Ministry involves the coming together of God and Man(You). It all starts from the mind of God becoming the mind of a man. He enlightens us as ministers. The work of the ministry starts from the heart of the minister, our purpose, vision, joy and difficulty begins from the mind (Proverbs 4:23). We worry so much about our inadequacies an inability, thereby limiting God, but the truth is that God doesn’t need us to be 100% perfect before he can use us, He only needs our Availability, Obedience and absolute Commitment to the calling; He leads and we follow. Waiting for a prophecy from heaven that will shake the ground before you take steps in fulfilling His commandment will make one lose his/her divine assignment timing. So the dealings of God with us, is enough to forge ahead with his calling upon us. Many of us are waiting for one miracle money before we embark on a project we are so sure He has commanded, The Lord is saying “Do you trust me, then come walk on waters with me). He can use anything and anyone for us, all we need to do is to TRUST Him as God can use the unlearned (Act 4:13).
Constant learning is the currency in of our profession. Never stop learning. Learn from every experience, learn from successful programs conducted and from the ones that didn’t do so much well.
1. Don’t Be troubled: A true leader is surrounded with troubles but he is never troubled. Never expect all things will follow your own desire, but trust God that all will be well. A troubled leader is prone to uncommon mistakes.
2. Cherish your Experience: the experiences of a Ministry starts with your walk with God. Most often what God wants you to be to the world, He tends to first practicalise it with you, before giving you to the world
3. Practice Makes Perfect: theology helps us to understand the ministry rules and terrane but the constant performance brings perfection. Consistency is a pivot pillar in the game. You can’t grow without until you have grown within. It takes the YOU in YOU that makes YOU and not the world around you.
4. Foundation is Everything: Your foundation determines the success pace and duration of your structure. Never ignore the power of Spiritual foundation, Ministry foundation, family foundation, e.t.c
The enemy’s target is your vision, when vision is out power is absolutely useless and nothing. Vision gives direction to power. It is vision that channels your power for maximum productivity. Pray, Plan & Pay the kingdom dues else one becomes a prey.
Set achievable goals for that ministry and be SMART with it:
1. S- Start Well
2. M- Make it convenient for the people
3. A- Achievable
4. R.- Reviewable
5. T- Time conscious
When credibility is lost, honor is displaced. Guide your good name with all you have. Heaven will forgive but people won’t forget. God will pull down whatever occupy the seat of trust in you heart because He wants you to put your faith in Him alone. So when your most trusted member leaves you, do not tremble nor panic, God is only unseating your reliability and putting Himself as the only one to look on to.
The Chinese bamboo tree is watered for 5 years with no obvious growth, but rapid growth is experience in two weeks afterwards even up to 90feet. So you see, dig deep first is you intend to be a skyscraper in ministry.
Ministry is like an investment, which doesn’t yield immediate result, it requires much investment in:
* Time
* Building up
* People
* Acquisition of knowledge
* Education
* Equipment & Resources
* Seeking the Lord
* Building up a godly home and family
* Nurturing your health and body
* Outreaches
When knocked down, bounce back, never give the devil any reason to celebrate over you:
* Be thankful and don’t complain
* Be positive and optimistic
* Be honest with yourself concerning what gave the enemy leverage over you
* Be prayerful and be focus
* Be generous, loving, forgiving and wise
* Be obedient to the Lord and exercise patience
PRAYERS:
1. Whatever is frustrating my calling, I come against you in the name of Jesus.
2. I receive empowerment for the to pursue and fulfill the assignment of God for my life
3. Father open the gates of my calling and Ministry and it shall never be shut again.
4. Ministry shall be great for me, it shall not be impossible
5. I won’t let go oh Lord, Jesus hold my hands and let me walk in the fullness of your grace…Amen
