WRONG APPROACH TO CONFLICT & CRISES IN THE CHURCH
1. Wrong diagnosis of the situation by the leader
2. Allowing conflicts and crises to run and ruin the church and ministry
3. Inability to confront the difficult members thereby allowing them to cause damage
4. Thinking that all conflicts will die a natural death. Leadership must always be alert
5. Thinking that all conflicts are only demonic oriented, handling it spiritually alone
6. Believing that departure of a vibrant member is erroneous and devilish
7. Tagging of difficult members as enemy, disloyal and rebellious
8. Using the pulpit as a weapon of counter-attack against difficult members
9. Leaders being afraid to handle conflicts
10. Compromising our stand all in the name of allowing peace, thereby surrendering our leadership.
RIGHT APPROACH TO CONFLICT & CRISES IN THE CHURCH
1. Aim at helping as a father and not aim at to embarrass the difficult members
2. Put your motives on these situation right, measure the weight of the matter
3. Clearly analyze the matter, let your communication be clearly understood by all
4. Avoid character assassination, don’t underestimate their self confidence
5. Use the bible and the church doctrine template as an helping tools
6. Be constructive and not destructive in the use of words and criticizing
7. Address issues in wisely, don’t allow situations to lay low and don’t over-react to conflicts
8. Pray very well and take charge of the atmosphere
9. Present yourself Humble, see yourself as privileged to be the leader and watch your attitude
10. Make sure that you are Spiritually, Physically and Emotionally sound
