According to Proverbs 15: 22. Without counsel (Support both in words and in action), purposes (vision, ministry or mandate) are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors (Vision supporters) they are established (Vision is fulfilled and purpose is achieved).
To every Gods vision or ministry on earth, God has always called men who is saddle with the responsibility to supporting His assignment. To every Moses there is a Joshua and a Caleb, to every Jesus, there are the 12 Apostles, and to every Paul, there is a Mark and Timothy, who helps in supporting the ministry. Therefore, to every called Pastor there is a you (a Church Worker) to help run the supportive ministry. We are designed to complement each other and not to compete with each other if fulfilling Gods plan for His army on earth is to be achieved.
No one can single handedly fulfilled the ministry without a supportive ministry. Even Jesus our Lord had supporting ministers with him, people who are workers in ministry. As a Worker God needs you and He needs you now. The need for true and committed workers with passion is highly needed in the supportive ministry.
Act 6: 1-7, showed the manifestation of the supportive ministry among the early church. The apostles where able to run and grow the ministry effectively because of the supportive ministry. Therefore, supportive ministry involves godly group of Christians who discovers and understands their purpose in the Church and submit themselves for the use of the Lord that the purpose of God and His glory through the Church will be fulfilled on earth.
